Every Friday there is a humming sound of several sewing machines running at the Evangelical Free Church in Nanoose Bay.  According to pastor Chris Wilson, it all started in June 2010 when a number of ladies at the church decided to do something about the very poor children who live near the garbage dump of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.  Since then, the project has expanded to include orphanages and the poor in the Philippines and other countries.  Volunteers from outside the Church have joined the “Sew-In” to help in this worthwhile cause.  Contact pastor Chris if you would like more information about this worthwhile project.

The Nanoose Church is also involved in many other activities including  the support of a Christian medical student from Pakistan and the Zimbabwe Gecko Society.  Please view the appeal video from the Zimbabwe Gecko Society.

A big thank you to all the ladies who faithfully share their love to the Lord and each other and those homeless (Pacifica
Home) and others less fortunate in our own community and to far away people, for example, the Philipines, Africa, and
Mexico.
